The Spirit of Uganda

The ‘Spirit of Uganda’ is returning to Menlo Park as part of their 4 month tour of the United States. They are a group of children (ages 11-18) from Uganda that do a wonderful performance including drumming, singing, dancing, and storytelling in beautiful dress from Africa.

This event is organized by and benefits Empower African Children, a non-profit organization working to transform the lives of young people through innovative education. Their US tour allows them to raise funds to support themselves and others in their homeland.

  • WHEN: Sunday, Jan. 29 at 6:00pm, after the performance there will be a time of question and answer with audience members that would like to stay
  • WHERE: the Menlo-Atherton Performing Arts Center
  • TICKETS: Tickets can be purchased on-line for $30 each at http://spiritofugandamenlopark2012.eventbrite.com.
    Seating is general admission. Doors open at 5:15 for seating.
